3 Infographics to Make You a Better Blogger
Infographics are a great resource to utilize for painting a clearer picture of the information you are outlining within an article. Below are three infographics that I believe will be helpful for you, in becoming a better blogger.
#1- The 6 Elements of a Powerful Blog Post
In an infographic created by Neil Patel, of Quicksprout, the six elements that make a blog post more powerful are outlined for us neatly. The points I loved most in this helpful tool were these facts: “articles with images get 94% more views” and “around 175,000 blogs are added to the internet daily.” While I have incorporated the image statistics in previous articles, the new daily blog count number was a new statistic for me. It really puts in perspective, the importance of marketing your content and implementing proper SEO.
The 5 C’s of Content Marketing
Content marketing is a critical part of your business plan. By producing good, quality content to your website, you create traffic, backlinks and conversions. Below are the five C’s to content marketing:
1. Carefully
What does carefully mean with regards to content marketing? It’s simple. Don’t plagiarize other people’s content. Of course, there are a hundred different writing approaches you can use to tackle the same topic. Checking out your competitor’s blogs and writing within the same realm of a topic they have written about, is a valid tool in producing quality, competitive content. However, in the interest of: being unique, being creative and being professionally courteous, it is imperative that you don’t adhere to a copy paste job.
Blogging: 5 Ways You’re Doing it Wrong!!!
Are you blogging and not receiving traffic, social shares and conversions? Be aware of the five mistakes bloggers and businesses make below:
#1 Your Writing is Impersonal
Your blog is not meant to be a college research paper, dissertation or some long and arduous manual, bogged down with industrial jargon. Be yourself! Let your personality shine through by writing as you would speak. This establishes that you are a person and not a programmed robot or mindless drone, regurgitating statistics and facts that can be found on Wikipedia. Be creative and use emotions including: humor, compassion and empathy in your writing, when applicable. These techniques will make your blog posts more personable; engaging further reading and repeat visitors.
